A medical exam table, also known as an examination table, is used to assist patients during their medical examinations. These exams are performed by doctors in UK: hospitals, clinics, and offices. The adjusting mechanism allows the patient to be supported, close examination of the patient's body, and safe movement on the table.
To protect examination tables, many doctors use rolls of paper that the patient can sit on or lie down on. After each patient uses the table, the paper is usually thrown away.
Since the 1970s, examination tables have had electric motors. They are located underneath the tabletop, and power cables usually detach to avoid tripping hazards. You can transfer power forwards and backwards with a reversible motor, which allows for greater mobility.
